The
translator of this book, John Bester says, “(in Miyazawa Kenji’s story,) they
had more genuine originality, and a more universal appeals, than almost
anything else I have done, irrespective of whether it was aimed at adults or
children.”
I
think Kenji’s stories are deep and both children and adults can enjoy.
My
favorite story of him is “Ginga-tetsudou no yoru (Night on the Milky Way Train)”.
It is a book obout the story of the train which takes dead people to the next
world, like various heaven. The expression in this book is extremely beautiful,
and the story is deep and very attractive. So, if you are interested in
Miyazawa Kenji’s book, I think you should read it! :)
Next
week, I’m wondering what story I will read…
